Could this 1/2" Forstner drill bit become part of my Retirement Plan?!

Today I went to wood-working tools specialist Timbecon in Bentley to see what they had in the way of drill bits... something that can drill a really clean, neat 1/2" hole through the end block of an acoustic guitar (without splitting or cracking the wood or marking the finish) and this is what they recommended - a 1/2" Forstner drill bit and I can't wait to try it!

I've set up thousands of guitars over the years and have recently been asked to fit pickups into acoustic guitars by several friends after the local repairers they called said they were just too busy. That got me to thinking "...maybe there's something in this! An opportunity?!".

So, from now on, Concept Music can add "fitting acoustic input jacks & pick-ups" to list of services we provide here in the shop. Cool... and it will be a faster, cheaper service than we could provide before. Could be the strat of new career?!
