Spring time in Perth... my favourite time of year!

It's spring time in Perth so time to put off doing the gardening (and other stuff that I "should" be doing!) & get out there. On the weekend Anke & I went for a bit of a hike in Walyunga National Park... about 40 minutes drive up into the Swan Valley and boy is my body is telling me today "it's been too long" since I did any serious exercise.

Not really a lot of wild flowers but very pretty bush & enough assorted wildlife to us keep us interested including this 'bobtail' (another first for Anke!) and very cute mother & daughter kangaroo act. Stunning weather... and just what we both needed.
