My "grass tree" is flowering!

I only planted my black boy in January so wasn't really expecting much to happen this year but, lo & behold, it sent up 3 huge flower spikes!

They're quite remarkable too... the long, bright green spikes shot up almost overnight and then after a week or so they fattened up & then finally burst out to become covered in thousands of tiny cream flowers! Quite spectacular when you get close up... and covered in ants & bees! I guess this means the tree is happy where it is in it's new location - either that or it's about to cark it!
