Merry Christmas!!

As my kids get older and tend to "do their own thing" at Christmas (as you do!) this year we found ourselves without any where we really "had to be" for Christmas morning or lunch. So, after much ruminating and cogitating, we decided to pack a picnic brunch and took it down to the River in Dalkeith along with our friends Christiane & Sebastian from Germany (... it was their first Christmas year in Oz so it was VERY different from what they are used to!).

It was a beautiful sunny day and there were even dolphins frolicking in the river in front of us for much of the morning... we knocked off a couple of bottles champagne and then ended up at my sisters house with the whole family for Chrismas dinner - very civilised I'd say!
